I could see one issue tho, come to think of it. Although theres plenty of underhood room, the F1 engine is a longitudenal(forgive my spelling) mid-engine design. Adapting a transmission and rear end would be an absolute bitch.

So you would put the 19000RPM revving engine in a street driven car.... Limit it to at least 13000...

Last but not least, yes an F1 engine, v-8 or v-10, would fit in an s2000. The chassis and driveline would need extensive modification. And who said anything bout putting the limiter at 8000rpm? It's not even in powerband untill well over 12,000rpm. The compression is low enough that comercially available racing gas would probably work perfectly fine.

To answer everyones questions:yes they did put turbos in F1's in the '80s. These engines were rumoured to make in excess of 1100 horsepower. BUt they switched to n/a's for safety, dropping output to 750-950 hp. They used 3 litre v-10's that rev between 17,000 and 20,000 rpm. Noadays, however, they use turbo v-8's, 2.4 litres displacement, with around 700-850 hp.

A rev limiter? Are you stupid? You dont build high RPM motors only to limit them at 8k. Rev limiters are put on cars so idiots like you who say this kinda stuff dont throw a rod or bend a valve. You would not want this in your car. To say so, is absolutely retarded.

1) Because there is no reason to have turbo on them. 2) Because you watch too many movies. 3) Because they changed to rules for driver safety. 4) Because more power wont make them that much faster considering these guys have to turn not just go in a straight line. 5) Because not everything "turbo" means "better".

They used to put turbos in F1 back in the 1980s but the rules changed and now the rules restricts using turbos , saying the engine should be "Natural aspiration"
